Some News!

Hello Lovelies! Happy Thursday!

I decided few days ago that I wasn’t in love with the WordPress format, and wanted to freshen things up a bit. So I’m switching to Blogger! (Please note that it’s still a work in progress).

Don’t panic! Nothing is changing except the platform I am blogging on. I hope all of my lovely followers decide to switch over to blogger with me. I am planning on deleting this wordpress version on May 1st, so that should give everyone time to switch! From now on, I will be blogging there, so if you are wondering why there are no new posts on this page, go to that blog, and you’ll find all of the new content!

About Me

Hello lovelies!Me

Technically, I have covered some of this information in the About Me page of my blog, but I’m going to safely bet that not many of you have actually taken the time to read that page. So, firstly, I just wanted to say welcome to my blog! I’m Sarah, and I am an 18 year old college student from the U.S. I decided to start a blog because I love interacting with people both in real life, and through the Internet. I wanted to create a space online that could be mine. I wanted it to be used to spread information about beauty, fashion, cooking, workouts, and other lifestyle posts. I have always been passionate about writing, and this seemed like an appropriate outlet for expressing my creativity.

I created this blog to connect with anyone who wants to read it. I know that sounds vague, but it’s true! Like I said, I love communicating with people. I love learning about others’ history and cultures and experiences. It is refreshing and allows me to see the world from another person’s perspective.

A year from now, I want to have reached my 100 followers (my first goal) so that I can do that giveaway that I talked about a few months ago.

So thank you to all of my wonderful readers out there, and please feel free to contact me at any time!
Thank you for reading!

Sarah

Tips and Tricks Tuesday: Week 2

Hello lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful Monday! There’s nothing more refreshing than a clean slate, and I like to think of every Monday as such.If you didn’t have such a fabulous day, don’t stress! That day is over, and hopefully you can learn from the mistakes you made (hey, we all make them)!

Today I want to share with you a little concealer trick that I picked up a few months ago. It has really helped me get through the days where I’m running on 2 hours of sleep and a large coffee without looking like a zombie. The trick is very simple:

Most people apply concealer in three little dots under their eyes and blend. I want you to quit that habit right now. In this post, I will be using my favorite concealer, the Benefit Boi-ing concealer in 01-Light. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but well worth it!

If you take a large concealer brush, like the one I’m using in the photo and apply your concealer in a triangle shape under your eye, it reduces puffiness, dark circles, and wakes up your eyes much more effectively.

The end result is much nicer than it would be using the “traditional” method of applying concealer, trust me!

That’s all for today! Have a great rest of your week!

Friday Favorites: Week 1

Happy Friday lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful and productive week!

I, personally, got a lot done, and have mapped out my plans for this summer and next semester. I also had three exams, a quiz, and two homework assignments. Ah, the life of a college student. But, I digress.

Some of my favorite things I have stumbled across this week are:

1. The new chevron in the background of the site! I personally think it looks a lot cleaner and easier to look at. I loved the old layout, don’t get me wrong, but the way that it was tiled didn’t match up, and my OCD didn’t like it.

2. The Honey Maid: This is Wholesome Campaign. I know that this is a very touchy subject, so I’ll make it quick.

3.  I watched the movie Syrup last night, and pretty much loved it. I don’t know why, but I’ve always been interested in marketing and advertising, so this movie was pretty entertaining for me. Here’s the trailer for those of you who haven’t seen it. (Please note that the film is rated R).

4. Select Longchamp bags are on sale for 20% off at Nordstrom! (I found out from The College Prepster).

5. Lauren Conrad’s April Fool’s Day Joke.

Well, that’s all for today! Have a fantastic weekend! 🙂

An Update, and Spring Break!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful year so far! I know that mine has been very busy with school and such, and now I’m trying to find a summer job to make some money for next year. I’m also thinking about taking summer classes, so my summer will be super busy, I’m sure.

I’m currently on spring break, and no, I’m not doing anything fun or exciting (unless you include spending some time with my family, which I do).

So, since I am stuck at home (in the cold), I want to hear all about your lovely spring break plans! 🙂

Tips and Tricks Tuesday: Week 1

Hello lovelies! Sorry for the late post. I was very busy with homework last night, as I had an exam today, and went to bed early so I didn’t get the chance to schedule this post.

Anyways, the trick I wanted to show you today, most of you already probably know. It’s the art of the inner corner highlight! This really comes in handy on those days where you pulled an all-nighter preparing for midterms, finals, or even just working on a project that you procrastinated on  didn’t have time to do earlier in the week.

My favorite inner corner highlight of the moment is actually the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in (604) Milk. I love this because it’s multi-functional as a base for your other eye colors, and a highlight for your brow bone. The trick to this one, though, is to blend it really well or you risk looking like a clown.

Can you tell which eye has the inner corner highlight and which one doesn’t? Hover your mouse over the picture to see if you’re right!

Thanks for reading! Be sure to check in tomorrow for Wear-This Wednesday! (Which will probably just be a very quick OOTD (Outfit of the Day) that I snap before running out the door to class! 🙂

Sarah
